Viv Cecil

Viv Cecil's work attempts to capture the atmosphere and drama of the coastal environment in Sussex. Many years of making drawings form the human figure have emphasised the affinity in shapes and forms encountered in cliff faces, rock formations and in nature.
Exploring the coast, making drawings in charcoal and other media to absorb the ambience, he then expresses these collective experiences on canvas, paper or board using mixed and found media.
